INSURGE, COMMIT, EXTINGUISH

Il ghiaccio, per cercare di convivere con la specie umana, ha rinunciato a troppo, troppo a lungo. Gli esseri umani, accecati dall’egocentrismo e dalla fame di potere, lo hanno portato pericolosamente vicino all’estinzione, rendendolo sempre più debole.

Ice, while trying to coexist with the human species, has given up too much, for too long. Humans, blinded by their egocentrism and hunger for power, have brought it dangerously close to extinction, making it weaker and weaker.

Nasce così l’organizzazione terroristica I.C.E. (Insurge, Commit, Extinguish), che dichiara guerra all’umanità. Il loro obiettivo è quello di rivendicare ciò che gli è stato sottratto, unire le forze per diffondere la propria ideologia e mettere fine alla convivenza nociva con ciò che umilia e distrugge la natura: l’essere umano. I.C.E. assale la nostra quotidianità attraverso un’azione silenziosa, che si sparge in modo capillare in tutto il mondo. Nessuno sa chi siano questi terroristi, ma chiunque potrebbe essere uno di loro.

This led to the rise of the terrorist organisation I.C.E. (Insurge, Commit, Extinguish), which declares war to mankind. Their goal is to claim back what has been taken from them, joining forces to spread their ideology and put an end to an harmful coexistence with what humiliates and destroys nature: human beings. I.C.E. attacks our everyday life through a silent action, which spreads all over the world with posters, graffiti, threats. No one knows who these terrorists are, but anyone could be one of them.

Le bombe di I.C.E. sono ovunque. Il loro timer dura pochi minuti e accelera se qualcuno prova ad avvicinarsi. L’unico modo per fermarle è restare bloccato con la mano sulla superficie gelida dell’ordigno; non appena finisce il contatto però, il tempo ritorna a scorrere fino ad esaurirsi. La bomba esplode, scatenando una catastrofe ambientale in un punto specifico della terra, provocando terrore e distruzione.
L’essere umano si dimostra impotente di fronte all’inesorabilità del ghiaccio. Succube di questa realtà, è costretto ad affrontare catastrofe dopo catastrofe, senza poter fare nulla per fermare la strage se non rimandare l’inevitabile.

I.C.E. bombs are everywhere. Their timer only lasts for a few minutes and speeds up if anyone tries to get close. The only way to stop the bombs is to keep a hand on their freezing surface; as soon as the contact ends, however, the clock starts running down again. The bomb explodes, triggering an environmental catastrophe at a specific point on earth, causing terror and destruction.
Humanity proves to be powerless when compared to the inexorability of ice. Succumbing to this reality, humans are forced to face disaster after disaster, without actually being able to do anything to stop the massacre except from postponing an inevitable fate.
